NOTE: i have tried on multiple occasions to upload pictures through my blogo application and it refuses to do it, so this post doesnt have any pictures. as soon as i figure it out i will post them.
this past weekend has been CRAZY!!!! ellie started biddy ball tball on friday afternoon. my sister in law had her bachelorette party friday night. jj had opening day on saturday. jesse had his fantasy baseball draft on saturday. i made two more birthday cakes on saturday. ellie and sienna had their combo birthday party on sunday. i dont think we couldve fit more in than we did this past weekend.
ellie is on the angels. they got cute little shirts and hats. none of the kids can catch, but they are learning the basics. she will do this for another year before she plays tball. she LOVES tball. she has watched jj do it for so long, that finally it was her turn! she is so cute!
friday night, us girls had dinner then made our way to pechanga resort and casino in temecula. we had a VIP booth at their nightclub, silk. it was reallly fun. i didnt drink that night because i was driving back home afterwards. we danced and danced the night away! it was so fun!
jj's opening day started at 10am. i was super tired!!! we ate $1 hotdogs, hamburgers, and soda for lunch and then spent some time at the carnival. they had face painting and other cool games where the kids/players could win prizes and candy. at 12:30, were jj's team pictures. i think we were the second to last team to get their pictures done. he did good though. no silly faces. afterwards, we were pooped and sunburned!!! while the kids rested, i started on the next day's birthday cakes. i need to invest in many 9" cake pans. i only have two and had to wash and re-grease each pan after each baking. not fun! also not fun, was the fact that i put too many eggshells down the garbage disposal and clogged up my sink. all in the middle of me baking. imagine...needing to rinse something, but knowing that the water i use wont go down the drain. ugggghhhh!!!
so, i decided to either call a plumber or fix it myself. i chose to fix it myself. i knew whatever was caught was in the curved pipe. so i grabbed a lot of big bowls and started to unscrew the pipe...waiting for the downpour of water to start. boy did it ever!!! i made a huge mess, but i fixed the clog! all was better!
jesse had his annual fantasy baseball draft on saturday. he has been preparing for this for the last couple of months. researching players and their stats was all he was doing. he looks forward to this day every year. he gets so excited. like a little kid.
sunday rolls around, and i finally have finished the two bday cakes and now am focused on decorating and setting up for the party. we had nachos and hotdogs. the girls had a great time and they got lots of very neat things as presents. they both are very blessed to have such great family and friends who care about them so much. the cakes were the big hit of the party. my niece's was a surprise for her. i didnt tell her anything about it or what it looked like. she was super happy when she saw it. i think both cakes turned out really well and i was satisfied with them.
we only have the rest of today to finish getting our stuff together and packed for our trip south of the border! we leave tomorrow to go to CABO SAN LUCAS!!!!
the kids are excited and almost packed. i think the hardest thing is that not only are we packing for a vacation, but also a wedding. we are going to try and relax a bit and enjoy ourselves, but i have a feeling that we wont be doing that until the wedding reception. i hope everyone has a great spring break and a happy easter!!!!!
