fourth of july

sunday was my niece and brother in law's joint birthday party. he was turning 30 and she was turning 1.

i made the cakes for the party. i finally finished the night before around 9pm. i was pooped, but it was nice sleeping in the next day and not having to do any last minute things to the cakes. we had a really good time at the party. the kids played in the water and we ate hotdogs and hamburgers. afterward, we played "just dance" for wii. that game is awesome! i am currently undefeated. the kids got to break open a pinata and eat more junk and then it was cake time. by the time we left, they were exploding with candy, cake, sweets, and other junk. luckily no one puked.

while the kids napped, i took my first opportunity to go see eclipse. it was sooooo good. i loved it. i think it is my favorite. i really like twilight too, though. new moon was my least favorite. i can NOT WAIT until breaking dawn is out. it was my favorite book, and i am anxious to see how they put it onto film.

to wrap up our fourth of july, we were able to see some fireworks in the distance. we also watched some on tv too. it was such a nice day with family and friends.
