we are getting drenched here in southern california. it has been raining non-stop for the past couple of days. the forecast predicts it should stop on thursday. it is about time.
this past thursday was ellie’s pajama christmas party at the library. she had a great time. santa made a surprise appearance. the parents brought wrapped books for their own kids and put them in santa’s sack for him to pass out to the kids.
it was nice because I didn’t have to take her to the mall to see santa. jj hasn’t asked yet to see him. I guess he figures that his letter did the trick.
I love this picture because it shows her first reaction to santa coming in the room
we had a great day with santa and today we have stayed in our jammies all day long. I made real hot chocolate on the stove, not the powder kind you just add water to. it was so good. the kids watched a couple of movies and now we are currently listening to the news and the rain outside. it is really coming down!
I am curious to see tonight’s football game in the snow. it is gonna be crazy!!!
wednesday is a big day for the kids. they will be getting their christmas present from us that day. we are keeping it a surprise for them until later in the afternoon. we are taking them to see “disney on ice” in anaheim at the honda center. jj has seen a disney on ice show before, but we have never been. jesse, myself, my mom and the kids are all going. I really can’t wait to see their faces when we tell them. I will plan to take lots of pictures.
we are hosting christmas eve this year. we will be having over 20 people here at our house christmas eve night and my parents and brother are staying the night too, to see the kids’ faces on christmas morning. it should be a busy time, but I am looking forward to spending time with family, eating, relaxing, playing games, and watching the room fill with joy as the kids open their gifts.
we are very blessed this holiday season, and are very lucky to have amazing friends and family to celebrate with.
