fire safety week

this whole week at school has been fire safety week. on friday, jj's class had a fireman and firetruck come to school and talk to them about fire safety. he really enjoyed it. on sunday was the yucaipa valley firefighters pancake breakfast. we had a really good time. there was good food too. jj saw two of his classmates there and met smokey the bear. they even had a cal fire helicopter to view. we took pictures but when i got home i realized i didnt have my sd card in and the pictures were saved to the camera instead of the card. well now i cant find my adapter cord to download them to the computer. as soon as i find it i will post those pictures. they even had a raffle and we won 25 bucks to bj's. yum yum. today i am watching my two nephews, ellie and jj. after i pick jj up from school we are going to the pumpkin patch to take pictures and have a picnic lunch. hopefully they all behave. i will keep you updated and i will remember to take my sd card with me so i can post pics right away.

oh i almost forgot. i get to brag a little here. the other day jesse got a call from a superintendent in mammoth lakes, ca. she asked if jesse would be interested in speaking to her administrators about all the success he has had in his school. i guess they were really impressed with his scores. they said they would pay for his gas and hotel when he goes. she also asked for his speaking fee. can you believe that!! i am so proud of him. he and his whole school worked really hard on bringing those scores up. she also said he would come up and speak for an hour and then eat dinner, then have q and a for 30-40 min. they want him to come the week before thanksgiving. that is so awesome. we talked about how they dont know his age or how he looks. they will definitely be surprised with that. then if you think that is great than listen to this.

the next day after the mammoth call, he gets a call from the secretary for motivational speaker larry bell. he wants jesse to come to his annual conference in orlando, fl. and be a presenter there. oh my goodness!!!!! he wouldnt get paid, but they would pay for his airfare and hotel for 3 days. that conference is in may. its crazy that all these opportunities are happening, but i know how dedicated jesse is and it is truly paying off. God has blessed us in so many ways. praise the lord. i think on the florida trip, me, the kids, and my parents will go too, depending on cost. i cant wait. at the very least, i will go with him. i just wanted to say how very proud the whole family is of jesse. we love you so much and are excited to see what else God has in store for your life.
