well, tomorrow we all go back to work and school. it has been a nice couple of weeks off. jj starts school, jesse starts a week of student intervention, and i start back watching my nephew. as much as i love christmas, i really love the week after all the decorations are put away. it makes the house so clean and neat.
jesse figured out how to add the audio to the videos that i have posted. they all work properly now. i am so technilogically challenged that if it were up to me, they would never have sound.
ellie is so independent and so girlie. on christmas eve, we were talking about being a "foo-foo girl". ellie is the definition of one. once she realized we were talking about her, she looked at us with a scowl and said, "me not a foo-foo". just the other night i put her to bed and went and checked on her later. i saw her bathroom light on and her pajamas on the floor. i thought maybe she had an accident and had to change. i look and see her asleep in her bed with a new pair of pajamas on. she just wanted a new pair to put on. no reason to change, just because. the other day, she says, "me have to go potty". we run to the bathroom and i help her up on the toilet. she has been having accidents lately so i wanted to hurry and get her there quickly. while she is sitting on the potty, she looks and me and says, "you not mad at me? i keep my poopoo in my butt, not my 'zones (calzones=underwear)" she is hilarious. i love that she talks about herself in the first person. i will call her for dinner, she responds, "me coming!! here me am!"
jj is getting so big. i really can't believe that he is in school. he is so smart. we have been playing the card game war with him. we even play two cards at a time and make him add or subtract using his hands. already he is able to do it on his own. he was able to buy himself a new bike with his christmas money. we put the training wheels on and off he went. he was so nervous because it is a lot higher off the ground than his old one. he tried to go up a driveway and spun out and flipped off his bike. he didnt even cry. we were amazed. jesse and him were playing soccer in the front yard and jesse accidentally kicked the ball and it hit his stomach and knocked the air out of him. i am glad that he is getting tougher, he just needs to get some meat on his bones. his so skinny and small. only 8 pounds seperate him and ellie.
jesse and i have made the new years resolution that everyone has made. we are going to eat healthier and try and tone up our bodies. my goal is to be in shape by april when we go back east for my cousin's wedding. i am not interested in losing weight, but more in toning up the giggly areas. hopefully we won't break this resolution and keep it going all year. we hope everyone had a great new years and will have a wonderful 2009.
