this past tuesday, me, my mom, jj and ellie went to the la zoo. it was really fun. the kids had a great time. they were just happy to do something. we were going to go to disneyland but we had that day blacked out on our passes. i am sure it was crowded anyway. the only bad part of the day was the drive back. traffic was horrible. all the way from pasadena to rancho cucamonga was 30mph. then all the way up the pass was about 50mph. bumper to bumper. it took about 2 1/2 hours to get back to victorville. all the new years traffic was leaving a day early.
we got to see pretty much all the animals. the giraffes were the coolest. they kind of surprise you because they are so close to you. jj's favorite was the lions and ellie's was the orangutans.

the lions were so neat. the lionness got up right after i took this and nudged the male and he growled at her.
this lady orangutan made ellie laugh so hard. she is eating this branch and it snapped in her face. it scared her and she jumped back a little. ellie thought that was the funniest thing ever.
