the wednesday before valentines, i received my gift from my husband. it came fedex from proflowers.com. they were stargazer lilies, my favorite. they were all buds when they arrived, and they are just now beginning to open. i love them so much. thanks babe!
friday was crazy! jj had a valentines day party at school and ellie had made her own valentines for her friends at the library and at ballet. to sum it up into one word...CANDY. they both were on a sugar high. to top it off, we went to mcdonalds for a play date with some of jj's friends. they were running around and screaming like crazy people. the good thing was that it was naptime when we got home. they both slept off some of the sugar. the whole day it had been raining on and off. in the afternoon, it started snowing!! nothing too spectacular (it didnt even stick) but it was snow! jesse came home early from work because he thought the pass would close because of snow and ice. that was nice! later that night, i took jj to his first "dance" at his school. jesse stayed home with ellie. it was a family valentines dance. i wasnt planning on going but some of his friends were going so of course he should go too. at first he was shy, but by the end, he was dancing up a storm. they played hannah montana, jonas bros, taylor swift, and they did the chicken dance and the hokey pokey. he had fun running around with his friends. he even did some breakdancing!
the next day, our good friends logan and rebecca street came to stay with us for the weekend. we hadnt seen them in a while, it was really nice. they brought their 2 yr. old son, jackson, and 6 mon. old daughter, brooklyn. the kids played ALL weekend. we all ended up going out to eat at chilis on valentines day for dinner. yes, all 8 of us! the kids didnt do too bad. we had fro yo after. yum! the next night the adults were able to escape without kids for a nice dinner. overall, we had a great weekend catching up with friends and relaxing. thanks street family!
