we did eat our way through the fair feasts. we had corn dogs, french fries, barbequed corn on the cob, lemonade, mini cinnamon sugar donuts, cotton candy, and a strawberry/whipped cream funnel cake!!! yum yum!! some other delicacies that were offered, deep fried oreos, twinkies and snickers sprinkled with powdered sugar!!! crazy!! trevor even said the cream cheese filled grilled jalapeno peppers wrapped in bacon were too spicy!! and he loooooooves spicy things.
we saw all the animals (sheep, goats, pigs, and cows) and their babies too. i wanted to steal the piglets and kids. too cute. the kids played in the kids korner. they had a hands on exhibit about rainforest animals. can you believe that jj was able to hold a tarantula!!! scorpion!!! and boa!!!! ewwww!! he was so excited and had eyes as big as saucers and then would laugh like a crazy scientist after he was done holding them. the boy loves animals!!! the parrots were squawking at the people and the porcupine and sloth were sleeping through it all.
the kids painted a silk scarf to take home but we were given strict instructions on how to care for it, since it was still wet when we picked it up. and i mean STRICT!!! finally, the kids rode some rides. they rode a mini ferris wheel, jj went down a huge slide, and he even got lost in a mirror maze. the maze had glass walls so we could see him go through it and he was finding his way until he ran straight into a wall so hard he almost fell backwards. it was like something you would see on america's funniest home videos. we all laughed, even jj!! while the kids rode rides, trevor and lauren won the kids prizes. they were very happy with their tiger, necklace, and dog. needless to say the kids were pooped and fell asleep in the car on the way home.
