looking back

last sunday, ellie's ballet class did a recital for the concerts in the park. they performed during intermission. they had been practicing their "kitty cat dance" for months. finally, ellie got the jist of it down. all the girls did really well and remembered their moves. it was absolutely adorable watching all of them. all the girls had little whiskers painted on with eyeliner. so cute!!!!

as the summer comes to an end, i look back and remember all the fun things that we did together. we had loads of laughter and great memories.

jesse is already back to work and starts school on tuesday. jj starts school on monday and i just cant believe it. my baby boy is starting 1st grade. he is so thrilled to be starting and going all day!!! whooops, thats me talking, not him. ;) he is happy though. he is excited to see all his friends from the previous year. we got his teacher information in the mail and are very excited that jj got the teacher we requested. we have heard great things about her and how she really pushes each student to their full potential.

today, after i was leaving the grocery store, i was talking to the kids with a little force in my voice (if you know what i mean). for those of you who have ever gone into public with 3 young kids, know what i am talking about. you could say i was a tad bit hungry too. for those of you who know me, know that hunger and susan dont go well together.

anyway, while we were driving away, ellie says to me, "mama...why you so grumpy?" then i took a deep breath and felt much better. its funny how kids say things at just the right time to take you out of your funk.

we had lots of great times this summer. here are some pictures recapping our escapades. here's to the new school year!!!

the kids at sea world
