favorite movies!!

ok...it is thursday again and that means. top ten time. this week we are listing our favorite movies. this is going to be hard because i love so many different types of movies, that just picking 10 is tough. i am going to go across all genres and just pick a couple from each. if you want to join the fun, go over to in the mommy trenches and add yourself to the link.

sorry i dont have the top ten button/image this week. our home computer is broken and we have networked with our laptop, so no access to ANY of our pics. i send it out today to be fixed, so hopefully they can save it all. now on to the list:

TOP TEN MOVIE LIST:

(in no particular order)

1. braveheart: whenever i think of my favorite movies, this always tops the list. such a classic. very very long, but oh so good. i always get the chills when i see it. "FREEDOM!!!"

2. sweet home alabama: chick flick for sure!! i love this movie. reese is awesome. if i could live a different life, I would be a country singer and play the guitar, so this movie always brings out my southern accent. ;) "what do you want to be married to me for, anyhow? so i can kiss you any time i want"

3. tombstone: this one is for my darling husband. i know this one is an absolute favorite of his. wyatt earp and doc holliday. "i'm your huckleberry..."

4. billy madison: this is my favorite comedy of all time. i love adam sandler. he is hilarious. "stop looking at me swan..."

5. steel magnolias: this one is a given. ouiser, shelby, m'lynn, clairee, truvy, annelle, drum. total chick flick. no matter how many times i see this movie, i ALWAYS cry!!! "pink is my signature color"

6. dumb and dumber: again, for my darling husband. he might possibly know EVERY word to this movie. i'm serious. such a classic jim carrey movie. "just when i thought you couldnt possibly be any dumber, you go and do something like this...and totally redeem yourself!"

7. a few good men: another great drama. it has so many great actors. "you can't handle the truth".

8. mary poppins: i added this one for ellie. she is very into mary poppins. she loves her and thinks this movie is hilarious. "practically perfect in every way" (you have to say it in an english accent)

9. beaches: another great chick flick. bette midler and barbara hershey as cc bloom and hillary. another tear jerker! the soundtrack is awesome too. "you're not dead yet; so stop living as if you are!"

10. shrek: i was trying to think of one for jj, but he likes so many movies, that its hard to pick just one. i think this one is a classic though. everyone knows shrek! "that'll do donkey...that'll do"
