jesse's visit to extended care was productive. they gave him one bag of fluids, a shot of zofran (anti-nausea med.), and a stomach xray. the xray was clear. all the antibiotics he has been taking gave him thrush (fungal infection) in his mouth and left his poor stomach shredded to bits. we left there feeling better and with some more meds to take.
now he is taking probiotics and a pill form of zofran. he also has a mouthwash for his thrush. this morning, he was feeling ok, but still had nausea. then he tells me that he has acid reflux and that the stomach acids are burning his throat. fantastic!
another thing he says is that his sinuses feel congested. i have been calling the doctor's office daily and they now know me by name. they said they think he might be getting a cold or a sinus infection. double fantastic!
currently i am sitting in the living room with him. he is feeling a bit better after throwing up. i can tell that he is very dehydrated, but hopefully now he can start to drink water. he says that he feels a tickle in his throat like something flapping. we are hoping it is one of the scabs.
the only good news is that he has a dr. appt tomorrow morning. we shall see how it goes.
PLEASE LORD, LET HIS BODY BE HEALED!!!!

Oh, I hope he is feeling better. This has already been a crappy flu season, and it is just began. Good luck.
