as you know, jj's party was held on halloween and we went trick or treating right after. the kids got into their costumes and we took a group shot. i didnt add it to the post, but whoa was it funny. trying to get a group of young kids to stand still, smile, keep their hands to themselves, and look at the camera was a huge feat.
from what i can remember, the kids got more candy this year than any other year. they filled both of their buckets to the top, and it was all good candy too! not that i have sneaked any from them. (wink, wink).
there were only a couple of houses that actually scared the kids. the rest were very G rated.
this was the first year that i didnt have to walk with them up to the door. i walked with them along the sidewalk and waited while they both loaded up their buckets. it was soooo much easier that way.
ellie was sleeping beauty and jj was a knight. i love that their costumes were coordinated. i actualy didnt intend on that when i bought his, but it worked out that way. ellie wore her little sleeping beauty dress up shoes and ran up and down driveways. all i could hear was click, click, click. jj was always a house ahead of her. he hated that he had to wait for her.
at the end of the night, both were pooped and went to bed easily. i on the other hand had a HUGE, messy kitchen to clean up. i think my body is still recuperating from the clean up.
