woohooo!
ok. as i was getting ready to type out my top ten for the week, i was thinking of what topic i should do. i was looking around the house and since i had just eaten breakfast, i saw a cereal box on the counter. that's what i will do...top ten cereals our household enjoys.
i do my main grocery shopping once a month and freeze my bread, cereal, and meat for the month. so i do end up buying a TON of stuff. especially if cereal or bread or meat is on sale. then its like, a free for all. i am the queen of thriftiness and i don't prejudice against the store brand cereal at all, but i will only list the name brand kinds below. it really only comes down to whatever is on sale. now here we go...
TOP TEN CEREALS
(in no particular order)
1. CINNAMON TOAST CRUNCH-this one is an absolute favorite in our house. the kids LOVE it. i will eat it occasionally, but i buy it mainly for them. it has the perfect portions of cinnamon and sugar.
2. CRISPIX-ahhhhh. just the name of it makes my mouth water. this is my favorite cereal in the world. my favorite part is to suck the milk out through the holes in the cereal. i rarely buy it though because it it hardly ever on sale. BOOOO!
3. GOLDEN GRAHAMS-jesse loves this one. the kids also love it, and so when my husband goes to pour himself a bowl, he gets so mad that "his" cereal is decreasing in size.
4.COCOA PUFFS-this one belongs to the kids. i think their favorite part is when their milk turns into chocolate milk. i will always remember this cereal, because this was the last thing i ate right before i gave birth to my son. i remember this because it came right back up at the hospital, almost in its exact same form. (sorry if that was a little TMI)
5. RAISIN BRAN-any kind will do. i kind of like that i am the only one in the house that will eat it because that just leaves more for me. :)
6. HONEY NUT CHEERIOS-this is a go to favorite for jesse. if there are no other of his favorites left, this one always hits the spot. its like a type of comfort food for him. i could really take it or leave it. the kids dont care for it either.
7. FROSTED FLAKES-this one, is another of jesse's favorites. he hates whenever someone else eats from "his" box.
8. LUCKY CHARMS-it mainly belongs to the kids, but i will see my hubby pouring bowls on occasion. i dont really care for it because i hate the way the marshmallows crunch in my teeth. marshmallows should be soft, not hard as rocks.
9. CINNA-GRAHAM HONEYCOMB- i havent seen this cereal around very much, so i think its kind of new. we just discovered this last month. it was on sale, so i gave it a try. both me and the kids LOVED it. not jesse, he is not a cinnamon fan.
10. KIX- you know what they say, "kid tested, mother approved". this one is favored by the whole house. i rarely buy it because it is NEVER on sale. i do get coupons for it, but i most always opt to get another general mills cereal. it is so yummy though!

Wow. You have a good list. We could totally eat cereal together ANYTIME.
that's a pretty good list. WE're in a kind of a cereal rut over here. Basically it's price vs should we really be feeding the kids that sugary stuff.... you know. We're big on fruit loops at the moment.
