a food post

remember a while ago, i posted a picture of taco melts i made for dinner one night. i had a couple of you ask for the recipe. i actually stole it from a friend who got it off of the pillsbury website.

the day i went to make them, though, i didnt have ground beef, but i did have leftover steak and chicken. i used those instead. i also didnt have pillsbury grand biscuits. i only had crescent rolls. so i used two crescents per one taco melt. i made a rectangle instead of a circle. it still worked. i just took some meat and some cheese and folded over the biscuit dough to make a little pocket. super easy and super yummy. if you want the original recipe and the right way to do it go here. if not, make your own creation. it's always more fun that way!

also, remember when i told you i was making bbq jalapeno poppers. well...i did, and they were a huge hit. i am a super chicken when it comes to eating anything spicy, so i purposely left out all the jalapeno seeds, so to not kill the guests' taste buds. i thought i would never say this, but those things needed a little extra kick. they were so mild, i was able to eat one. and that's pretty pathetic. next time i will leave some seeds in. lesson learned.

but i did take a picture of them. they were as good as the picture makes them look. i know you want some!!! go here for the recipe. the recipe i used is different than the one i linked to. i used her cookbook recipe. i just added some shredded cheese and some sliced green onions to the cream cheese. either way works!

i have another huge post coming up soon too. my sister in law had her other bridal shower on saturday, so i have lots of pictures to post.

Oh, those look so delicious. I'll definitely have to try those. The picture makes them look amazing too. Good job! I like the angle and the amount of focus. Are you shooting on auto?
