most of you that are my facebook friends, have already seen a lot of these pictures, so sorry for the repeat.
for those of you who arent, enjoy.
we spent 5 days in cabo for my sister in law’s wedding. they had a really good turnout for being a destination wedding. they had around 120 guests! for the last couple of months, she had been trying to describe the place where the wedding would be, so i had a picture in my head already. when we finally saw the spot, it didnt even come close to what i thought it would be. it was WAY better. i cant even describe it to you, you just have to look at the pictures. it was amazing!!!!
we had a couple of days before the wedding to hangout and play in the pools and sun. the kids took advantage of the warm weather and went swimming almost every day that we were there. jj got some good practice of his swimming skills and ellie didnt trust the arm floaties and refused to go in, unless she had a death grip on someone.
our resort had 3 pools. one was an awesome kids water park with really fun slides and the main pool had a swim up bar. that was really nice, considering the drinks were all inclusive. :)
the resort had it’s own private beach entrance, but the ocean was super scary. there was a red flag warning the entire time we were there because of the current. the waves were so loud when they crashed. we only let the kids in up to their knees and even then we had our eyes on them like a hawk.
the girls had poolside pedicures before the big day. the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner were fun. we got to meet a lot of the groom’s friends and family. it was a nice get together for both sides.
the wedding day morning was very busy. pictures, makeup, hair, dresses, flowers, etc. lots of things to take care of. while the girls were doing hair and makeup, jesse took jj to meet the groom and his groomsmen for pictures. of course the day wouldnt be complete without a child meltdown.
just before veronica was putting on her gown, ellie decides she doesnt want to wear her white shoes. she wants her pink minnie mouse flip flops. and when i say meltdown, i mean crying and stomping and jumping up and down. i wanted to run away. so all the while, veronica is getting into her gown and all the girls are helping her get dressed, i am dealing with a 4 year old and her attitude. by the time we make a compromise of wearing the white shoes for the ceremony and pictures, and the flip flops for the reception, the entire wedding party has left to go take pictures.
i get ellie there just in time for some groups shots. at least she didnt miss all the pictures.
after the long shuttle ride over to the beach club, the ceremony went off without a hitch. jesse performed the ceremony and he did an awesome job. it was not too long, with just the perfect amount of sentiment and laughter. i told him that he was going to be getting requests!
the groom and bride were beautiful!!!! we all watched their pictures being taken on the beach. they will be amazing!!!! i cant wait to see them.
to sum up the reception, it was the most beautiful and regal wedding i have ever been to. it was celebrity status. it even had fireworks!! yes you heard me…fireworks! it was a great night of joining two families together. the happy couple were leaving for cancun in the next couple of days after the wedding. they are on their way home today. i know…life is tough for them.
the kids had a blast and got their first stamp in their passports. most of the adults came home with major mosquito bites. overall, though, i couldnt have envisioned a more fun time.
yes, that is an infinity pool overlooking the ocean. amazing view!
jesse with his dad and his uncles
i will include the rest of the wedding pictures in my next post. :)
