10 on 10

on the 10th of every month, i take 10 pictures of what my day was like. sometimes they are interesting, and sometimes they are not. at least the pictures are true and real of what our family is doing.

here are some flowers that i picked up for myself the other day at trader joe’s. every year at mother’s day, they have THE BEST arrangements for a fairly good price.

i just finished my next obsession. i am on a reading frenzy. i saw this movie a couple years ago, but i finally can say that i read the book. it was a really good read. a little different than the movie, but good.

ellie was dying to send a letter to her friends jackson and brooklyn. so i let her make them something special and we mailed it today.

ellie and i went for a walk today to the grocery store. this is her, mid-skip. :)

why are kids so fascinated with pine cones?

during our grocery store trip, i rented this movie for the kids from the redbox dvd rental machine. such a great idea. $1 a day rentals, even for new releases!

i made steak for dinner tonight, along with scalloped potatoes and spinach salad.

jj was playing catch with jesse outside today. he really needs practice catching the ball. i got some really good action shots of him throwing the ball.

this is our life. we CONSTANTLY have to tell him, “stop biting your nails” or “get your fingers out of your mouth”. every.single.day. he has ugly fingers and nail beds and he just can’t stop.

jesse has really been into deadliest catch lately. it’s such a crazy yet interesting show.
