i that is it. i have a couple classics that i might add like "to kill a mockingbird" and "jane eyre".

please comment with any other suggestions you might have. i always love a good book, much to the dismay of my husband. ;)

oh....

remember when i said i had a BIG cake project coming. well i am just about to leave to go give it to the person. it is for jj's teacher. it is her end of the year thank you present. i think she will love it!

there is a story behind this cake too. this is actually the 2nd cake i made yesterday. the first was 4 layers tall, and one of the middle layer decided to disintegrate on me. i screamed and then tried to save it my smashing it up and together and pasting it with frosting, but no go. then i sat on the couch and cried. 3 hours down the drain. so i went back to the grocery store and bought more cake mix and more frosting and i am much happier with cake 2. oh, and i forgot! two nights ago i decide it would neat to make my frosting this time, instead of using the stores. WRONG IDEA!!!! it was a simple recipe, so i tripled it. yes you heard me, tripled. so here i am mixing and stirring away and it is a MESS!!!!!!! i followed the recipe exactly, but it turned out like clumps of butter sitting in milk. totally gross, so i threw it out. again, hours waisted!!!!!

but it was all worth it, because look at my final product!!

what do you think?

I think that is SO amazing! His teacher is super lucky- especially considering the trouble you went through!

Ohh, there are a few of those books that I want to read too! Like Lauren's books, mommywood and carrie's diaries. I will look into some of those others ones too! Maybe we can read them around the same time?!

Like I mentioned before, your cake turned out fabulous! I hope you got some pics of the teacher's face when you gave it to her!
