these last couple of weeks have been very busy!

we had another trip to the regional park, my cousin had her bridal shower, ellie had her tap recital at concerts in the park, nightly trips to the park to play , and last night we went to the dodger game.

jj and ellie love going to the regional park here. they have two water slides and jj was just tall enough this year to ride them. while jj is busy with that, ellie is building sand castles by the water. we pack our lunch and just let the kids play the day away.

my cousin is getting married next month and she had her bridal shower last weekend. she got so many great things. my mom and i are making her a candy table for her wedding reception. we finally got all the candy and are figuring out how to set it all up. her colors are pink, tangerine, and white. i think it will turn out reallly beautiful.

ellie had her tap dance recital on sunday. her group danced to "locomotion". i was kind of nervous for them and hoping they wouldnt get stage fright and freeze up there. they performed during the intermission for concerts in the park. there were a good amount of people there, but when the time came, they did amazing. i was so proud of her!! she smiled the whole time and only got distracted once. they got a huge applause.

this week, we have been taking the kids to play at the park by our house after dinner. the sun has gone down behind the mountain and the weather cools off a lot. they play on the playground and jj and jesse get to play catch. we bring charlie too and let her run around.

yesterday night, we all went to the dodger game. this was ellie's first dodger game and our first as a whole family. we lasted the whole game too! i was afraid that the kids would get bored and we would have to leave early. the game went fairly quick and the kids had fun. i packed ellie a backpack full of stuff for her to do. we had front row seats in the left field pavilion. we got there early to see batting practice. the kids each got a ball!!! they were so happy.

jj was dead set on buying something there with his money. we tried telling him that things at the stadium are super expensive and that he should save his money. oh no!! he couldnt possibly do that. once the souvenir man came around selling things, it was over. "i have to have a rally monkey" or "i NEED that". we asked how much the baseball cards were and he said, $10. i told him that we could buy them for $2 at target. his response was, "but we arent going to target now!". that one got a good laugh from the lady behind us. needless to say, he got his baseball cards. the good thing is that they are all of the 2010 dodgers. he was and is still obsessed with rattling off the stats of every player he comes across.

the dodgers won and we even were on tv for a split second. we had a great time!

this weekend is going to be fun too. the kids are staying with gaga donna and pop pop for 2 nights. jesse and i are going to las vegas for some fun.
