we have decided to not renew our season passes to disneyland. even though we went enough times to get our money’s worth, it still was very expensive to go.
i knew i wanted to go one last time before the passes ended and this time i wanted to take jesse along. jesse has been on fall break this past week and we picked wednesday as our big adventure day.
since jj’s birthday is coming soon and he was still going to be in school that day, we decided to take him out early. we didnt tell him about it and he was super surprised and happy that we ditched school and went to disneyland!
we hit all the main stops at both california adventure and disneyland. we got as much in as we could. the kids were so happy that dada got to join them in their disney adventure for the day. we even took a great family picture. it is a possible christmas card, so i cant show you guys that one yet.
we went to eat dinner outside of the park and then started on our way back home. while we were on the freeway, there was some traffic. jesse braked fairly hard and we came to an abrupt stop and then 2 seconds later, BAM!!!!!! someone had rear ended us on the freeway. we were driving my parents’ denali, so it was big and sturdy. the kids were scared and shaken up, just as the adults were. jj had hit his head on a plastic piece and had a small bump. he started crying because he was scared and ellie was fine. we made our way off the freeway and to a gas station. the girl who hit us was so distraught. she was so sorry and shaken up. it was her first accident and she felt awful. jj was a little traumatized. he kept looking back at the cars behind us worried that it would happen again. he is doing better now. at the time, no one had started to feel any aches or pain. later that night and the next morning is when everything started to set in. nothing bad, we were just really really sore. i am sure the girl was in major pain the next day.
my parents’ car is getting fixed on monday and the insurance company has already contacted us, so it should go pretty fast.
we had a great day filled with lots of family fun and a terrifying experience on the way home.

Looks like such a fun day. We are going on Tuesday and I am so excited! I haven't been in a long time. Can't wait to see the look on E's face.

Looks like fun Susan! the rear ending? Notsomuch. I don't blame jj for being scared after that. I love how disney does up the holidays!
I'm sure taking a break for a bit will bring more magic back next time you go. We are headed to Disney World soon. It's about 24 hours away so we don't go too often, lol
