dodgers spring training

jesse, me, and the street family all drove out to glendale, arizona for two dodgers spring training games. we stayed saturday through monday and had a really great time. it is definitely a tradition from now on. none of us had ever been before and it was amazing. you could get to the fields early and watch them practice, run plays, and batting practice. they were very close and the best part is that you can line the walkway leading to the clubhouse and hopefully get autographs of your favorite players. it was a great experience. it definitely brought out the kid in me and the competitive nature too. i was very determined to get the autographs that we had wanted. i succeeded!!! i asked jesse if you could only get one person's autograph, who would it be? he said clayton kershaw (the dodger's young gun pitcher). so we watched the players before the game and i got a great spot on the walkway. i saw him coming and i literally pushed the ball and pen in his chest and basically forced him to sign the ball for us. i know i was a little crazy paparazzi-ish. i did thank him very much afterward though... we also got a lot of great photos too.

one we got into the park, i wanted to go down to the dugout and wait for more autographs. jesse was too tired and didn't feel like going. so the crazy paparazzi went and came back successful...again. i waited patiently and ended up getting coach don mattingly, matt kemp (rihanna's man), and upcoming pitcher rubby de la rosa. i felt very accomplished for the day. although, i was very close to getting james loney's autograph, but the game was literally about to start. they had already sang the national anthem and announced the starting lineups. so i went back to my seat and smiled the rest of the game. i came and conquered!

on the way home we stopped for breakfast at the cracker barrel. i had never been there before and it was GOOD!! i loved the little cozy country store and country food. i can't wait to go back next year!!
