happy halloween!!!

i love halloween. i love watching all the kids dressed up in their costumes. its so exciting.
the day before halloween, jj and ellie were invited to jj's friend's house for a halloween party. we all drove to stone's house. BEAUTIFUL home. the decorations were incredible. i wish i had taken a picture. imagine a magazine layout of a perfect halloween party and thats what it was. incredible. they had "fingers" in the salad. deviled eggs that looked like eyeballs. honeydew melon carved to look like brains. a frozen brain ice cube in lemonade. dry ice in a big glass. a crystal ball. cupcakes tiered on a cake stand. fun games and prizes. the kids had a blast!!! i had to tear them away to go home.

halloween day i took ellie and diego to the library in costume for a dance party and snacks. they had a good time. especially when it was snack time. then we ran some errands in costume. everyone came out of their businesses to look at them. they both loved the attention. next we had frozen yogurt, it was free to kids dressed in costume. they REALLY loved that most of all. they did drip a little on their costumes, but not too bad. we then picked up jj from school where he wore pajamas. he had his own dose of fun there. naps and then get ready for trick or treating.

we went to my sister in law's friends house. they pull the kids on a trailer loaded with hay. those houses give the best candy. full size and even king size candy bars. we came across one house that had popcorn and cotton candy machines. we all had a fun time with a few meltdowns along the way. ellie kept saying "lets go get more candy". there was also a little girl dressed very scary on the hayride. i think she was a zombie or something. she had a white face with black eyes. ellie was petrified of her. she didnt want to look at her. she would hide in my jacket. she would say, "her not a girl, her a monster!" at the end of the day, they got lots of candy and were exhausted. they slept until 8 this morning. that is pretty late in my house.

Hey Susan,

The coddington family left me a comment and sent me their website link, but it won't let me in without a password. Do you know if I need to sign up with samba in order to see their blog? How do you view their website?
