catching up

it has been awhile since i last posted, so i have a lot to catch everyone up on.

this past weekend, jesse and i took a little trip to vegas with our friends, brittany and wes. we had a really great time. we stayed at a beautiful resort for an awesome price. it was a ways off the strip, but worth the cost per night. we got there friday night and went to hang out at toby keith's bar and grill. that place is awesome. they have a band playing all the greatest country hits and while the band takes their breaks, a dj plays. we had a great time dancing and drinking.

the next day, we walked the strip some and got to see the bellagio fountains. they were gorgeous! you know them, the ones that they show at the end of ocean's 11. we walked a bit more and went and saw a show. that was really interesting! actually it was pretty cool and funny! afterwards, we ate dinner and went to go get into prive' in planet hollywood. we ended up staying 4 hours there! that was an awesome night! we danced the night away and came home with lots of memories.

there are definitely more details that i have left out, but you know what they say, "what happens in vegas stays in vegas!" ;)

last week, ellie had her first haircut. it was only a trim, but it was a good 2 inches off. i was kind of scared that her curls would be gone, but i still have some left. i do know that once those curls are cut, they wont come back so i will holding onto them as long as i can.

tonight, i heard ellie ask her brother, "jj, do you think i am beautiful?" jj says back, "no...i think you are awesome!" of course, ellie screams, "NO, I AM BEAUTIFUL, NOT AWESOME!!!!". honestly, his response could have gone a whole lot worse, so at least he didnt say what i thought he was going to say.

this past week was so exciting for us. 24 started back up and so did american idol! oh! and the golden globes were sunday. i love this time of year! the oscars are just around the corner! i cant wait!!!!!!
