jj's first basketball game

this past saturday, jj had his first basketball game. his league is made up of 1st and 2nd graders, so he is the young one on the team (and the smallest too). he loves practicing his shots outside. he doesnt quite get them there, but at least he is trying. he has gotten much better since his first practice. this age group doesnt keep score, so it is just for fun.

i took my telephoto lens to the game so i could get some good action shots. i took a lot of pictures and got a hand full of really good ones. his team did really well. better than i thought they would do. jj didnt shoot the ball, but he did dribble a couple of times and he played some good defense. he is a very tentative player, but hopefully he will come out of his shell.
