on monday, our big extended family all met at the park and had a fun filled day together.
the kids got to play on the playground, play t-ball and golf, and ride their bikes. the adults had horseshoes, badminton, and lasso golf to entertain them. the highlight of the day was without a doubt, the water balloons. the kids took such pride at chasing each adult down and trying to get them with the balloons. i was safe, i had the camera. those kids are sneaky though, they did take some of the adults off guard.
the food was amazing! we had plain ol' hotdogs and hamburgers, but the fixings were awesome. bacon, bleu cheese, avocado, pepper jack cheese, and all the traditional stuff. we had grilled corn on the cob too! oh so good. i think the best part though were the desserts. two types of brownies and 4 types of cookies. my favorite was the peanut butter cookies. i dont have the recipe, but i am sure i can get it for those who want it. they are amazing!!!! the best pb cookies EVER! and they are huge. they are 4-5 inches across.
all in all, it was super fun. nice and relaxing. by the time we got home, everyone in our house was ready for naptime.

Looks like it was a fun time! Josh's sisters and their families came down for the weekend so we all hung out, redid my mother-in-law's bathrooom for her, played games and ate way too much! It was a nice long weekend! Unfortunately weather was not good!
